Over time a sewer manhole fills with sludge, grease, sand and debris. When it is full, wastewater backs up into the yard, the basement or ground-floor apartments.
How we clean it
- Pump out standing water
- Remove sludge, sand and debris
- Jet the inlet and outlet pipes with high-pressure water
- Inspect pipes with a camera if needed
Preventive cleaning once a year is recommended for private houses, more often for shared or commercial manholes.
